Compressed Bio Gas (CBG)

It is an odorless, colorless & environmental friendly purified form of biogas which is derived from organic wastes such as agricultural residues, food waste & animal dung. CBG is produced with over 90% methane followed by a series of processes like anaerobic digestion, gas upgrading & compression, making it a renewable alternative for fossil based CNG.

  • Feedstock handling: Organic waste is collected, sorted & pre-treated to be prepared for digestion.

  • Anaerobic digestion: Bacteria then produce raw biogas by breaking biomass in oxygen free conditions.

  • Purification & upgrading biogas: Using water scrubbing, PSA or advanced membrane technologies, moisture & impurities like hydrogen sulphide & carbon dioxide are removed.

  • Compression & storage: High purity methane is compressed & stored in cylinders or cascades as Compressed Bio Gas.

  • Utilizing byproduct: Leftovers are converted into an organic fertilizer known as bio manure.
