Green Methanol is a suitable alternative to methanol, which is produced by energy and captured carbon dioxide (CO₂). It is an alternative to fossil fuels in fuel cells for emergency operations in transport, business & industrial projects. Green methanol is one of the best standards in energy development, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and supporting a sustainable energy system.

Green methanol is primarily produced by converting renewable electricity into methanol.

The process includes the following steps:

• CO₂ extraction: Capturing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere or industrial sources like steel mills, cement plants or from air capture technology. This CO₂ is then combined with renewable hydrogen.
• Hydrogen production from renewable sources: Hydrogen is produced using renewable electricity to split water into hydrogen and oxygen through electrolysis. This creates green hydrogen without fossil fuels.
• Methanol synthesis: Captured CO₂ and green hydrogen are chemically combined using a catalyst at high temperatures and pressures to form methanol.
• Carbon neutrality: Since CO₂ used in production is captured from emissions or air, the process is carbon neutral. CO₂ emitted during use is offset by what was captured.
